This journal is dedicated to research on every aspect related to Journal al-Quran and al-Qiraat. Special attention is given to paperwork pertaining to history, political science, economics, anthropology, sociology, law, literature, religion, philosophy, international relations, the environment and development, as well as ethical issues related to scientific research. This journal is committed to publish original research on the al-Quran as a guide to life. It welcomes interdisciplinary efforts that merge history, religion, politics, culture and law. The journal focuses on Islam and contemporary Islamic issues. The establishment of various educational institutions that offer the field of study of Qiraat knowledge is growing, showing that this knowledge is gaining attention. The government through the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) has introduced the knowledge of Qiraat as early as at the secondary education level through the subject of Maharat al-Quran under the Integrated Curriculum Tahfiz (KBT). However, studies on the level of mastery of Qiraat knowledge have not been widely implemented especially for the Tahfiz Model Ulul Albab (TMUA) students. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the level of mastery and level of knowledge of Qiraat. This study uses a descriptive method that is quantitative, and the instrument uses a set of questionnaires. The sample of this study consisted of 138 form 5 students of Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Bentong, Karak, Pahang (SMAP Bentong). A sample of 138 students was determined by referring to the table of Krejcie &amp; Morgan (1970). The study found that the level of mastery of TMUA students on the knowledge of Qiraat is at a moderate level and is supported by the findings of studies that have been conducted by other researchers. Recently, the community has expressed a strong interest in tahfiz education as a possible option for their children. In the excitement of pursuing the title of al-Hafiz and al-Hafizah, there is irritation when memorising that supposes to be preserved and taken care of vanishes from memory. According to the research findings through the student interviews in the field of Tahfiz and Qiraat conducted at public universities such as Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, and private universities such as Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor, more than 70% of the candidates who hold the title of al-hafiz and al-hafizah have forgotten the verses that they have memorised. This dissatisfaction is exacerbated when tahfiz institutions emphasise that students can complete the memorization syllabus within the given time frame without focusing on repetition of memory. This problem will persist as long as there is no grassroots initiative to address it. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate intrinsic motivation: issues and challenges in maintaining al-Quran memorization among students enrolled in the Bachelor of Qiraat programme at USIM (SMQ USIM). This is a case study that is using qualitative approach. The case study was chosen because it allows for a more in-depth examination of a more specific case or topic related to intrinsic motivation: concerns and issues in maintaining Quran memory among USIM students. The sampling technique was used to select study participants to answer the study's questions, and 21 students participated as study participants. According to the study's findings, intrinsic motivation among Qiraat students from USIM can be divided into two themes based on the research questions. First, the intrinsic motivation of tahfiz students to repeat the Qur'an is separated into four major themes: sincerity, willingness, longing, and admiration. The two intrinsic motivations involved in the process of memorising repetition are further split into three major themes: repetition rate, discipline, and guidance. Di Indonesia, jenis qiraat yang digunapakai adalah qiraat Āѕim riwayat Ηafѕ. Sedangkan menurut sejarah terdahulu, para ulama pernah menulis dan menyalin jenis qiraat yang lain pada mushaf al-Quran kuno Nusantara. Salah satunya itu adalah dalam manuskrip al-Quran MSS 4322. Fokus utama artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis kepelbagaian qiraat dalam surah al-Baqarah. Kajian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan filologi. Metode yang digunakan sepanjang kajian ini dijalankan adalah metode pengumpulan data melalui metode dokumentasi dan historis iaitu dengan cara menganalisis teks naskhah al-Quran MSS 4322. Hasil dapatan yang diperolehi menunjukkan mushaf al-Quran MSS 4322 adalah sebuah manuskrip yang berasal dari abad ke 17 Masihi manakala, jenis qiraat yang digunakan dalam mushaf adalah qiraat Āѕim riwayat Ηafѕ, hanya sebilangan sahaja menggunakan qiraat Nafi’ riwayat Qalun. Justeru itu, kajian ini memperlihatkan perbandingan antara qiraat Āѕim riwayat Ηafѕ dengan qiraat Nafi’ riwayat Qalun. Hasil daripada dapatan kajian ini, penulis mengemukakan cadangan supaya kajian ini dapat dilakukan secara berterusan pada qiraat surah-surah yang lain yang masih belum dikaji secara menyeluruh. Therefore, a study needs to be done to find out the method of muraja'ah memorization of the Quran applied by the students of the Diploma in Diploma Tahfiz Al-Qur’an Wa Al Qiraat, Kolej Pengajian Islam Johor (MARSAH). Hence this study aims to observe the forms of education curriculum at Maahad Intergrasi Tahfiz Sains (MITS) in Selangor. This qualitative study uses interviews on senior academic and tahfiz assistant teachers at MITS of Selangor. The data is analysed through merging, deducing and interpreting the words of the participants, observations or readings to understand the data. The findings show six forms of education curriculum at MITS of Selangor, which include education management, school organisation, learning outcomes, assessment management, observations, and tahfiz evaluation. The study has the implications that these six aspects fulfill the needs of the tahfiz curriculum management at MITS of Selangor. All states across Malaysia have had dozens, even hundreds of tahfiz institutions managed by bodies or individuals privately. This study aims to analyze and identify the implementation of the curriculum, also involves the form and method of curriculum implementation available in these institutions, especially institutions located in the state of Johor. The study data was obtained through a questionnaire instrument distributed to 25 institutions in the state of Johor. Of the total, only 19 forms were returned and that number was analyzed to obtain the percentage of implementation of the private tahfiz curriculum in the state of Johor. The data obtained were processed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0. The findings of the analysis show that the form of the curriculum and the method of implementation of the tahfiz curriculum are at a less satisfactory level of interpretation that is medium low. . The recitation is rejected and not considered as part of the Qur'an due to non-compliance with the Qira’at rules that have been agreed to by the scholars. Ibn Mas’ud was among the companions whose recitations are different as compared to Quran Rasm Uthmani. This study focuses on the alternation (al-Ibdal) found in Qira’at Ibn Mas’ud. In total there are 285 alternations in Qira’at Ibn Mas’ud. Those changes cover alternations of the letters, the adjunctive particles, words, sentence phrases, and defective alternation (al-Ibdal al-Naqis). </em><em>Even so, in terms of meaning, all forms of substitution that occur do not change the meaning of the sentence even if the form of writing is different. Most of the differences that occur have almost the same meaning but in different pronunciations.
